Primarily, I am a designer, but when I’m not designing, I practice and teach Ashtanga, an authentic yoga style. This practice is a great passion and side hustle of mine. Ashtanga yoga is deeply rooted in ancient Hindu philosophy, which transforms a yoga class from mere physical exercise into a meaningful practice. Driven by my passion to share this knowledge, I created Ashtanga Goods, a brand dedicated to popularizing yoga philosophy and reminding Western yoga practitioners of the origins of their practice.
I single-handedly executed the design, project management, and accounting for Ashtanga Goods, bringing the concept to life and creating designs for posters and social media cards. The idea had been in the back of my mind for some time and finally came to fruition in February 2024, thanks to valuable conversations with my friend Ekin Isim. Ekin played a crucial role in outsourcing and producing the Eight Limbs Poster, the key product sold by Ashtanga Goods. Her input was essential for the pre-printing and production phases of the project. Currently, Ashtanga Goods operates as a hybrid of merchandise and educational content, seeking collaborations within the yoga community to expand its reach.
